Unit 5 - Organize Activities for Yourself and Others


In this unit, you’ll learn:
  • To create and share Google Calendars
  • To set reminders and notifications for events in your calendar
  • How to manage multiple calendars
  • To manage to do lists in Google Tasks and Google Keep
  • To integrate Google Tasks with Google Calendar
  • To add media and share notes in Google Keep

Google Calendars  

my mini project - be able to 
  • create a separate classroom (SQU classes + office hours + meetings) calendar 
  • make this available to students via QR code or link 
  • post the link on your office door 


Be able to 
  • create an event .. and share it with others
  • setup notifications based on calendar events / etc. 
  • use multiple calendars .. colour code them to differentiate them on your master calendar

Note 
there are no SOUND alarms connected with calendars 

Google - being organized

keep notes - checklists / adding images / posting to Google docs / collaborating

  • can be assigned 
    • a colour, 
    • a date reminder (these do not show up on your calendar unless you have "Reminders" on but will pop up on your phone if you have the app installed)
    • a reminder based on a geographic location 


my mini project - be able to 

  • set up a reminder based on geographic location (never done this before) 
  • set up collaboration using Keep 
  • take pictures .. tag them... save them to Keep for quick follow up
